The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute is home to about 750 researchers who are working to understand, prevent and treat diseases including cancer - particularly blood, breast, lung, bowel and ovarian cancer - immune disorders such as type 1 diabetes, coeliac disease and rheumatoid arthritis; and infectious diseases such as malaria, HIV, TB and hepatitis.
