Abstract
HOT papers: Cell biologists Tyler Jacks and Andreas Strasser discuss how DNA damage induces apoptosis in proliferating lymphoid cells via p53-independent mechanisms inhabitable by bcl-2; vascular endothelial growth factor, which is produced in the retina, seems to promote angiogenesis, a fact that may open doors for treating retinopathy, according to ophthalmologist Lloyd Paul Aiello.
