Abstract
In this article, Steve Gerondakis and colleagues discuss their dissection of the function of the transcription factor Rel: Using mice that lack Rel, they have shown that it regulates B-cell pro-survival genes and genes required for proliferation,and they propose a working model for this transcriptional factor.
